  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Cooked pasta or bread

Instructions

  • Dry the shrimp with a paper towel.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat the shrimp in the flour mixture.
  • Heat butter and olive oil in a large pan.
  • Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side until they turn pink.
  • Take the shrimp out and let them cool a bit.
  • In the same pan, melt more butter and a bit of olive oil.
  • Add chopped garlic and cook for about a minute until it starts to brown.
  • Pour in white wine and stir well.
  • Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Add lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes.
  • Put the shrimp back in the pan and mix everything together.
  • Cook for another minute until hot.
  • Stir in chopped parsley, and it's ready to serve.

NOTES

  • If you like a creamier sauce, you can add a small amount of heavy cream. Be careful not to add too much, as you don't want the sauce to be too thick.
  • For extra nutrition, you can add vegetables like cherry tomatoes or spinach.
  • For a low-carb option, you can use gluten-free pasta or zucchini noodles.
