- 1/2 cup hot sauce
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
In a small pot, mix together hot sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Stir the ingredients until they are well combined.
Put the pot on medium heat and bring the mixture to a low boil.
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Take the pot off the heat and let the sauce cool down before using it.
Store any leftover sauce in a sealed container in the fridge.
NOTES
You can add more or less cayenne pepper depending on how spicy you want the sauce to be.
You can also adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey, and the tanginess by adding more or less apple cider vinegar.
Make sure the sauce has completely cooled down before putting it in the fridge to prevent water from forming on the lid.
