Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a small pot, mix together hot sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Stir the ingredients until they are well combined.
  • Put the pot on medium heat and bring the mixture to a low boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  • Take the pot off the heat and let the sauce cool down before using it.
  • Store any leftover sauce in a sealed container in the fridge.

NOTES

  • You can add more or less cayenne pepper depending on how spicy you want the sauce to be.
  • You can also adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey, and the tanginess by adding more or less apple cider vinegar.
  • Make sure the sauce has completely cooled down before putting it in the fridge to prevent water from forming on the lid.
